National Center of Chamber Music
In 1977, the Chamber Music House named after Komitas was built according to the project of architect Stepan Kyurkchyan. The building includes an auditorium, a stage, a foyer and a lobby.
Concerts and festivals with the participation of Armenian and foreign artists are always held in the house of chamber music. There is a 300-seat hall where festivals, anniversaries, meetings, expos, presentations and other events are held.
Organ concerts are held here. The Dutch "Flentrop" organ, installed in 1979, was unique in its kind and continues to amaze visitors to this day. It was created on the basis of examples of organs of the 17th and 18th centuries and is intended mainly for performing baroque music. Vahagn Stamboltsyan, the People's Artist of Armenia, performed first at the concert.
